Artwork outside school (Sonika)

As you can tell, I like varying my choice of media when doing artwork. This is most easily seen with the last picture (with the fish under the sea). I used watercolours to paint the fish and help distinguish between light and dark, and used pastels to make the seaweed much more prominent. 

I also like using computers to make artwork, because I do quite like graphic design, and that I can use certain software fairly well. 

The picture above is something I made on adobe illustrator. On Wednesday, we are having a no drive day, and I was asked to make a poster for it. I had remembered seeing a picture (quite a while ago) and it was the school's logo in a pair of bicycle wheels. I thought it was perfect for the occasion, and decided to recreate it :)

This is one of the swords that I made. I used Adobe illsutator to make it and it took me 4 days to make it. The inspiration came from Halo's energy sword and the engravings are from elvish metal work. Name the sword please.

Hi, this is Khadijah. This one of the pieces from my looking log - a collection of art work about Singapore and Thailand. This particular piece is about the culture of Thailand. Buddhism is the national religion, which is why they have so many beautifully carved temples. Elephants also play a significant role in their culture as it is the national animal. I don't use Photoshop that often and I would like to know how to improve my work :)

Below is a picture of a piece I drew a while back, and a picture that I took for my art project. I made the drawing at home - it is a row of different faces. I enjoy drawing and sketching -  but not so much painting. I don't like drawing realistic figures or objects, so I usually draw cartoons. There are definitely things which I could have improved in my drawing, but it was just a quick drawing I made for fun so I don't really mind.

The image I took is for an art project we are doing in school. We are meant to take a picture of "food that defines us", which we will then go on to paint. I had several different pictures to choose from, but I chose this picture because I felt it was colourful and there was a certain technique of painting I wanted to use in my painting, and I thought that this image would look good painted using that technique. 

Let me know if there's anything I can improve/alter in my drawing or picture.

Album covers

I am very into metal music  I have compiled my favorite album covers from this  genre of music to share with you and try to help spread the love of metal. The albums below were chosen because I like the way they are laid out as well as the first impression that they might cause. Most people assume that album covers just attract attention and nothing else but they also have a meaning behind them. One example of this would be the obsolete album cover as this sends off the message that the brain is obsolete to humans and we don't need it to function and we are all mindless zombies now with or with out brains. My favorite cover below is the Al Namrood one as it is very plane and and could tell a story about what life is really like in Saudi Arabia.  You now know what my favorite album covers are I was wondering if you could tell me yours and expose me to different genres? Molly's Art

Hey my name is Molly and for this week's blog post, we had to post something that we had either drawn at home or taken out of school.
I really like to doodle and eat food so this week's blog post is something I drew during the holidays and a picture of pancakes!!
I'm using the picture of pancakes as a template of the new unit we're doing in art, where we have to draw and paint food. We have to think about the set up, colour and how the different objects mix together :)
